17:6 Ministry Chapel

Today 400 students crammed into Demoss Hall to learn from seasoned pastors Dr. Bryan Smith (FBC of Roanoke) and Dr. Grant Ethridge (Liberty Baptist Church).  They very effectively spoke to the topic of "Transitioning a Church" as they took questions from the students who had gathered.  This was  preceded by a time of refreshing worship led by the Common Ground band.  17:6 Ministry Chapel is available to all Liberty students who are interested in being used by God to make His name known around the world.  I was most marked by the comment that change must not be personal.  The way I appropriate that thought is I must lead through change with thick skin but a tender heart.  Easier said than done...

Definitely true. One thing i have been learning about leadership is that it really takes time to get to know people and really find out what makes them tick. Everyone needs to be led differently and we must adapt our leadership skills to fit each individual. This takes time, but is worth it.
