What a remarkable night! Regardless to ones political belief system this is a night that all will remember and should celebrate because the United States of America has elected to the highest office in the land a man who, for the color of his skin, not 50 years ago could not have chosen his seat on a bus in the South. There is not another country in the world who has elected someone whom it has once maligned to such a degree as America to African-Americans. This is a true sampling of how great a country we are blessed to live. For those of us who hoped for a different result, we exercised our right to vote and now we have the responsibility to love and pray for OUR President.
Where as change has come to the US our hope is not in who resides on Pennsylvania Ave but the God who neither sleeps nor slumbers. Change in our country and in our churches certainly needs to come but it doesn't happen with an election or start in DC it must begin with me. For a real, substantial, and lasting movement to occur I must change.

thanks for that chipper. so true...
Not to nitpick, but I would be inclined to argue that South Africa has done a more extraordinary shift. Just the history geek giving his 2 cents, and it doesn't change the validity of the message...
