Philippians 3:10
"That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to the image of His death"
- Fed 4,000 men (Mark 8)
- Fed 5,000 men (Mark 6)
- Crowd was so great He had to get away (Mark 1:37)
- House so full people had to break through the roof to get a paralyzed man to Jesus (Mark 2)
- Crowds lined the streets as Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey (Mark 11)
People flocked to Jesus everywhere He went, with the exception of the cross. Are you identifying with Him in His death? We are ready and motivated for some "power of His resurrection" stuff but how about the other desires of Paul in Philippians like "fellowship of His sufferings" and "conformed to the image of His death"?
This passion week lets remember that there would be no resurrection if there had not first been suffering! No amazing grace without spilt blood. No internal peace without external bruising.
