"Nothing new under the sun" including the temptations from the enemy.  Same old tactics, just a new day...

1 John 2

• Lust of the flesh--> I feel therefore I do
• Lust of the eyes--> I see therefore I do
• Pride of life--> I am therefore I do

I heard Rick Warren once compare these tactics of the enemy to the ones that Satan used (in the form of a serpent) to lead Adam and Eve into the first sins.  These are the bombs the world tosses into our lives to enslave some towards never finding life in Christ and others who have had their lives transformed by Him but will never walk in the freedom available to them.   We must be aware of our enemies strategies so we can be wise as the serpent but still harmless as a dove. For me this requires stepping back and taking an honest inventory of my life and inspecting to see what areas of my world are under attack and which are succeeding.  The temptations are only as effective as they are deceptive!  Once light has been brought into that dark area of my life I can resist, defeat and live in the victory of Jesus Christ.  Join me and lets step into His marvelous light together...
